True Blood has had an amazing run this year – and it’s now officially one of the most popular shows that has ever graced the airwaves on HBO.
It’s outsold the Sopranos on DVD. It’s one of the most watched shows on cable, on a network known for a consistently high standard of quality programming, is one of the most downloaded shows on the internet, and is now hitting the covers of magazines across the globe. Specifically, Rolling Stone. It’s nice to see Rolling Stone taking a break from Jann Wenner’s recent mission statement of aggressively fellating every known teen pop idol in the universe to move their magazines and honor something as consistently hard to produce as multi-tiered quality television.
True Blood is also going to be featured in HBO’s latest experiment, which is streaming content while it airs to the iPad. Are you feeling that coming on, people? That’s the future, creeping up slowly. Pretty soon you’re going to be able to have all sorts of programming beamed directly to whatever Apple doodad Steve Jobs manages to dream up in his brain pictures.
Also, Evan Rachel Wood separated from Marilyn Manson recently – - so if you’re a fan of hot girls who act terribly, this week should feel like Christmas.

You know that is gross. If i saw that is the store with kids around i'd turn the magazine over. As an adult, even i hate seeing that filth. As if shock value will make me want to see a cable series. Shock value does not always make for good plot devices. Not to long ago, covers like this would have never been seen. Sad world.
