Plastic surgeon to the stars, Dr. Frank Ryan, has died in a horrific car accident, TMZ.com has confirmed.
Dr. Ryan has performed surgeries for high profile celebrities like Gene Simmons and Shauna Sand but was most known for executing 10 plastic surgeries in one day for reality star Heidi Montag.
The 50-year-old doctor was driving his jeep yesterday afternoon when he lost control of the vehicle and went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway. According to TMZ, lifeguards tried to help Ryan but could not revive him. His dog, Jill, who was in the jeep with him at the time of the crash, was injured but survived.
The incident happened yesterday at around 4:30pm just minutes after he posted a tweet on his twitter page about hiking up a sand dune:
“After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!”
Let’s hope he wasn’t tweeting while driving…
