Steve Slater, the famous JetBlue flight attendant who made headlines this week when he abruptly left the plane he was working on (via the emergency chute while chugging a beer) after an altercation with a passenger, is finding himself in the middle of media controversy today.
His ex-wife, Cynthia Susanne, says she’s proud of her former hubby and the way he’s been handling the publicity but passengers aboard the flight that day say that Steve Slater (referred to now as a “hero”) isn’t the polite, witty man his ex-wife makes him out to be.
In the video below, you can see Cynthia defending Steve. “I think he’s fantastic and I know that he will handle this with all of the grace and humility he has.”
Meanwhile, other passengers on the JetBlue flight say that Steve Slater was rude to them before the incident even occurred.
Lauren Dominijanni revealed her experience with Slater after asking for a wipe to clean her seat.
“He said, ‘Not right now, honey. Maybe when we get in the air. I have to take care of myself first.” Lauren explains. “He actually made me feel pretty uncomfortable.”
Marjorie Briskin, another passenger on the flight that day, told the Wall Street Journal “I didn’t think [the passenger] was rude in the least. It really blew my mind. It was so inappropriate.”
Conflicting reports are leading many to have a change of heart when it comes to the popular JetBlue flight attendant.

This flight faggg should be fined. If an employee behaved like that everytime someone annoyed them, noone would be at work! He went into that job pissed at someone and took it out on all those witnesses. What a jerk-off!
