Fantasia Barrino has had quite a week. She’s been named as the cause of Paula Cook’s divorce from her husband – whose name she’s apparently tattooed with – and now she’s played pill roulette.
She’s been hospitalized for an overdose of aspirin and sleeping pills. You know, all those times that your life has been a little bit extra stressed, so you decided it’d be a good idea to take a handful of aspirin next to a handful of sleeping pills. Her management said that she was overwhelmed with the lawsuit and the media attention that’s been brought on her. The story broke earlier in the week, when it was revealed that Paula’s husband, Antwaun, might’ve taped Fantasia Barrino having sex with him. Multiple times.
Which would be an awesome irony, being that Fantasia sings gospel. I don’t know how many gospel singers have released sextapes or had sextapes clandestinely released starring them, but I seriously doubt that it’s very many. Fantasia might’ve actually broken some kind of gospel record. But here’s hoping that she recovers.
Fantasia was supposed to be promoting her third album this week, after starring in Fantasia For Real, a reality series that premiered earlier this year. She won the American Idol crown in 2004.
