The former American Idol winner earned rave reviews for her portrayal of Fanny on Broadway in The Colour Purple. But, if new allegations prove to be true, that likely won’t be Fantasia’s most memorable performance.
Perez Hilton reports that the singer has “been caught in a sex, lies and videotape scandal and is being accused of having an affair with a married man.”
The sh*t hit the fan when the man’s wife, Paula Cook, named Fantasia as her husband Antwaun’s mistress, alleging the two not only got down and dirty on a number of occasions, but that they’ve also at times, “recorded their illicit sexual activity.”
Their affair reportedly began last August, after Fantasia and Antwaun first clapped eyes on each other at – wait for it – a T-Mobile store.
Paula references sex tape(s) and a voicemail message from Fantasia as proof of her and Antwaun’s affair. Fantasia told Paula, “He don’t want you. Maybe the next time that you get a husband you’ll know how to keep him. That’s why he is here with me.”
However, Fantasia’s cash could soon be residing with her boyfriend’s ex-wife – as North Carolina is one of 7 US states that allow wives to sue their husband’s mistresses.
