HBO has announced that the next season of Entourage will be the last. The network ordered a shortened season of 6 episodes for next year, allowing series creator Doug Elin to write a film for Vincent, Ari, Drama, Turtle and E.
Mark Wahlberg recently told MTV that he is “more focused on making that [Entourage] movie than my own films,” revealing that the end of the television series would be followed up by a movie.
Doug Elin also wants to see Vinny and the gang on the big screen, but has vowed to do it only when it makes sense for the story.
I’m a huge fan of the show but Doug, the story hasn’t really made sense for a while now. Even Ari hasn’t been able to save it! That being said, I’m still looking forward to the movie. What can I say? I have a soft spot for Vince and his crew.
Reportedly Elin has already pitched other shows to HBO, and that in the next couple of years he’ll likely be back on the network with a new show.
It’s like Vince told a glum and unemployed Drama during the show’s most recent episode, “One day you’re on top of the world, and then next you’re passed out naked on the side of the pool.”
