Facebook is just a huge waste of time. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Because other than helping coordinate events, parties, and ruining reunions nationwide – they’re now going to incorporate Atari.
Into Facebook. Atari will be a part of Facebook. They’re going to reconnect Atari to the dying masses who have wanted Atari to be part of their lives ever since Centipede and Missle Command disappeared years ago, in the depths of arcades across middle America. So, as a brief recap, Facebook is now a place where you can reconnect with people, then stalk them, and then play arcade games from the 1970’s. In short – it’s the hellhole of the internet, waiting to take its rightful place next to 4chan. Xanga, the game company responsible for Farmville and Mafia Wars, is supposed valued at billions of dollars, so here comes Atari. Wanting to suck up the remainder of your time that’s supposed to be dedicated to doing itemized spreadsheets.
The large-scale online initiative is part of Atari trying to reclaim their spot at the top of the videogame chain, a position they haven’t claimed since people thought cocaine was good for you, and the Bee Gees made great music.
Here’s to you, Atari.
