According to figures recently released, Fox News is missing a major audience. I bet you can guess as to what it is.
Seriously, if there were a group of people out there who wouldn’t want to watch the pandering diatribes of knee-jerk populist commentators who are almost always white, who do you think it’d be? That’s right, no black people watching Fox News. A black person watching Fox News is like a non-stoned person watching Spongebob Squarepants – he’s probably a masochist.
Fox News, despite all the ratings boasting they’ve been doing, only has only a 1.38% audience share of black people. So it’s averaging around 29,000 black people watching during Primetime. I’m sure more people would tune in, provided they weren’t assaulted with vaguely racist statements, and what appears to be a hierarchy built off the backs off rich white businessmen.
For the most part, I applaud any population who realizes that Fox News is selling a narrative to make money, and pundits who are America’s version of veiled propaganda. That would be decried if it were broadcast overseas as veiled propaganda.
Also, they tend to hire – hilariously — the hottest female news anchors. Whatever to hoodwink the populace. Thankfully, not everyone is falling for it.
