Jersey Shore Rings In The NYSE

By Mark Lorenz on July 27th, 2010

Today, the New York Stock Exchange hit a new low.

Despite having German companies flee them in spades because of the market’s volatility, despite everything that’s happened with finance companies folding down, they haven’t suffered enough embarrassment, and have gotten their daily dose of badly-dressed pretend Italians ringing in the morning bell at the stock exchange.

Like the stock exchange needs more badly-dressed publicity-seeking egos. That’s all the New York Stock Exchange is. They had company today in the form of the self-titled guidos and guidettes of the Jersey Shore as MTV rolls out another season in the hopes to capitalize off the massive publicity generated by their wintertime sleeper hit. And hopefully, they’ve reminded all of the people on that giant, holy floor that they’re starting back up, so get back into their GTL routines

There have been rumors of all sorts of bad behavior on set, from the hilarious report that herpes medication needed to be handed out at all times, to all the cast-members simultaneously hating the Situation so much that they tried to run him out of the house in the next season, to fees being negotiated, you won’t be able to get rid of these guidos for quite some time.

They’re going to be ringing your bells.
