True Blood was at Comic-Con last week, and the show’s creator, Alan Ball, along with members of the cast gave fans a sneak peek at what’s going to be happening this season.

If you’re a fan of the True Blood books, this first announcement will likely be the biggest surprise for you — show creator Alan Ball “believes that Bill and Sookie are soulmates.” He acknowledges that those two characters in particular have deviated from their personas in the books. However, despite the fact that Alan may personally hope things work out between them, he “[doesn’t] know if they will, but [he] believes the love is true between them.” Interesting!
Sookie’s best friend, Tara, however, will continue to find herself unlucky in love. Ball says “There will be a brief break for her toward the end of this season, but it won’t last.” She’s currently entangled with James Frain’s, Franklin, a psychotic vampire who has been trying to dig up information on Bill and Sookie. “I don’t think we’re going to delve into why he’s a psychopath,” Alan said, “but we’re going to luxuriate in the nature of his psychopathology.”
Speaking of psycho – Sam’s family continues their drama. Reportedly a “gruesome” scene is still to come!
Kristin Bauer (Pam) proved she’s just as awesome off-screen as she is on the show. When asked about working with wild animals, she interjected, “Oh, Skarsgard isn’t so bad once you get used to him.” Love her!
As for Bill, Stephen Moyer told the crowd “the more crazy the better.” Thumbs up!
Real life love Anna Paquin says she’s happiest when Sookie’s kicking ass. “Her life has beat her up so much, and she’s starting to fight back.” And those powers? All will be revealed – just later on.
I hope that Eric and Sookie end up together. I love that Sookie will be kicking ass too!!
