Mad Men star, Crista Flanagan has created a stir, posing in just a tie and panties for Playboy’s August issue. Crista, who plays switchboard operator Lois Sadler, in the 1960’s drama was reportedly “intrigued” when Playboy called to offer her the opportunity to pose, and recreate a few scenes from the 60’s era editions.
“I’m a character actress,” Flanagan tells the New York Daily News, “The parts I play, I’m usually a crazy heroin addict or a lunch lady. Nobody’s ever asked me to take off my clothes, or even kiss somebody.”
Now she’s appearing on two covers of the August Playboy issue, and an 8-page spread that continues the 1960’s “Mad Men” theme.
“I have to say, just for myself to go to a job and feel pretty, that was kind of cool,” Crista continues. And does she ever look great!
After the shoot, Crista said, “I really did feel like I was re-creating something and that I was bringing to life these women who already posed for Playboy in the ‘60’s… This was trying to capture an era.”
