Isaiah Mustafa Emmy Nomination: Old Spice Guy Nominated For Hilarious Commercials

I guess anything really is possible when you smell like Old Spice.

Isaiah Mustafa, also known as the hilarious guy from the Old Spice Commercials who became famous for being, “the man your man could smell like” has been nominated for an Emmy! The popular commercial was among the nominees in the ‘Outstanding Commercial’ category, when the prime-time Emmy nominations were announced Thursday morning.

Even though you’ve probably seen the now Emmy-nominated commercial a few hundred times, it deserves to be seen again. We’ve got it below.

I smell a winner!

HollywoodLife reports that Isaiah practiced the funny voice he uses in the ad by “reading the script into a friend’s voice mail machine and then listening to it.”

While Isaiah admits that he knew the commercial would be successful the moment he read the script, he had no idea he would be nominated for an award – or that his performance in the ad may land him a permanent role on a TV show!

Last month People Magazine reported that Isaiah signed a talent deal with NBC.
