So, Virgin America was named best domestic airline by Travel + Leisure’s Annual World’s Best Awards, and I have to ask, is anyone surprised? Let’s consider the competition: A sardine can with “American” slapped across the side, complete with angry fishmongers on the inside.
Anyway, to say thanks, Virgin America is offering a 7 hour fare sale that is currently taking place, and is in approximately hour 5. These deals include $33 one-way tickets for short destinations, as well as $133 one-way tix for longer hauls. I thought I’d go ahead and toss this out this afternoon, in the event that you’re looking to go anywhere, but more so to let you know that Virgin America is actually offering deals like this fairly regularly.
I have no idea why I check the site fairly regularly. I just do. OK?
If you try and hit up the Virgin America site right now, good luck. I’ve been trying for the past hour and have failed to get through. Apparently everyone wants to experience what it’s like to fly on an airline that actually gives a crap that you’re on board. For example, they actually treat you like you’re in first class when you’re stuck in the last row.
Travel booked through this 7 hour sale needs to come before August 25, 2010. Certainly that wouldn’t be a problem, if you were going to fly from say, L.A. to Las Vegas for $66. Heck, I’d do that tomorrow. That’s cheaper than gas if you were to drive.
If you’ve never flown Virgin, it is highly recommended. The leather seats alone will make you feel like more of a human being and less of a cow in a cattle car. Add to it state of the art entertainment options and amenities…you can visit us at Manolith while cruising at 30,000 feet.
