Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to serve 90-days in jail for violating her probation, as the judge rejected the actress’ tearful excuses. (My personal favorite: Lindsay claimed one time she missed class because she was in Morocco… working… with CHILDREN!)
Nice try Lindsay, but clearly the judge wasn’t buying it.
Before reading out her sentence, Judge Marsha Revel pointed out the many ways in which Lindsay refused to take responsibility for her actions, and the lies she’s told the court and law enforcement, beginning with her 2007 DUI.

Despite her 90-day jail sentence, Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore has indicated that non-violent female inmates “generally serve only 25% of [their] sentence,” meaning that Lindsay should then only expect to serve about 23 days in jail, according to RadarOnline.
While the judge could have taken Lindsay into custody immediately after the trial, she did agree to give the troubled actress some time to get her affairs in order. However, Lindsay will have to turn herself in on July 20th to begin serving her sentence.
Hopefully this will get Lindsay the help she needs. That, or she’ll use her time in jail to find herself a new girlfriend. I feel like this could swing either way.
