Brace yourselves – Katy Perry will be appearing topless on the Esquire UK cover this August. (See the sneak peek of the cover to the right).
You’re welcome.
Katy was recently in the UK as a guest judge for X Factor during the Dublin round of auditions, filling in for Dannii Minogue who is currently on maternity leave. As she walked the show’s red carpet, Katy promised to be a fair judge, but added, “if someone’s bad, ‘someone needs to tell them.’” Still she was feeling ambitious, telling the crowd that she was hoping to “find someone in Dublin who’s going the change the world.”
While Katy’s latest single, “California Gurls”, may not be changing the world (though it sure is catchy) it has broken records – Billboard.com writes that “Perry logged 11,816 plays among the survey’s 132 panelists for the week ending June 27,” meaning the pop star beat out Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” for the highest number of weekly radio plays. “Tik Tok” was played 11,224 times one week in February, while “Bad Romance” was played 10,859 times in a week earlier this year.
Amazing right?
I know, you’re just looking at the picture. It’s ok, I get it.
