USA Soccer Advances Thanks to a Landon Donovan Goal in Injury Time

The US is on to the round of sixteen, thanks to a goal scored by the poster boy for soccer in America, Landon Donovan. Donovan scored in the 91st minute of the US’s game against Algeria this morning. The goal ensured that the US would win its group (which also included powerhouse England, who finished second in the group) and move on to the next round. The next game for team USA will be on Saturday, June 26th at 2:30 pm ET against the runner-up in Group D (the group includes Germany, Ghana, Serbia and Australia).
