Michael Jackson’s Chimp Bubbles Reunites with La Toya (Watch!)

By Heather on June 23rd, 2010

This Friday marks the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.

To commemorate the life and music of the irreplaceable pop icon, the likes of Christina Aguilera and Smokey Robinson will be performing a tribute in his honor.  Fans will be able to visit Forest Lawn Cemetery on Friday, where Jackson’s body was laid to rest.  And Michael’s family? How are they marking the occasion?

His youngest sister La Toya Jackson recently paid a visit to his pet chimp, Bubbles.  Of course, a camera crew accompanied her and (give credit where credit is due) she gave an Oscar-winning performance!  The academy should introduce a new award category just for her.

She hasn’t seen the chimp in 6-years.  But the way she was talking you would think that Bubbles was La Toya’s long lost child that she was forced to give up for adoption but recently found, only to realize that they have some rare incurable disease!

Bubbles on the other hand looks totally confused by all the fuss.  Michael retired the animal to the sanctuary in 2004, and this video marks the first time anyone in the Jackson family has visited his beloved pet.  Watch the dramatics below.

Seriously, how many times does she say ‘Bubbles’ in the 2-minute video? (I counted 24.)
