Directed by Michael Gondry and written by the movie’s star, Seth Rogan, and his partner Evan Goldberg (the duo also worked together on Superbad and Pineapple Express) the much anticipated Green Hornet movie debuts in January 2011.
The trailer however, made its internet debut last night. We’ve got it for you below.
Seth Rogan stars as Britt Reid, a spoiled socialite who befriends Kato (Jay Chou) one of his father’s best employees after Reid’s father dies amidst mysterious circumstances. His father’s untimely death causes Reid to abandon his superficial ways and team up with Kato to take down the chilling Chudnofsky (played by Inglorious Bastards star, Christoph Waltz.)
So far it looks (and sounds) like a typical action movie. But I am a Seth Rogan fan, so I hold out hope that he’s got a little more in store for us. This is just the first look at the film, therefore it’s likely that they don’t want to give everything away right out of the gate.
Cameron Diaz, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, Analeigh Tipton and Edward Furlong also star.
