I offer no comfort to those of you who may weep at this announcement. Amanda Bynes has announced her retirement from acting.
If you’re like me, you’re one of those people who was like, “NOOO! WHAT?! WHO THE HELL IS AMANDA BYNES?” And then you had to seek out your friends and loved ones who had a nostalgia for kiddy shows and ex-girlfriends of Seth MacFarlane to explain to you that she was the girl who was in She’s The Man. So, the star of She’s The Man is retiring from acting. There is an easy punchline there, which is, “When’d she start acting?” But we aren’t a fan of cheap jokes at Manolith.
And in a move that must’ve made her agent incredibly happy, she decided to announce it via the most legitimate social media network in history – Twitter. So Amanda Bynes took to Twitter to announce that she was retiring, because she didn’t care about acting anymore. If you’ve ever taken your time out to read Amanda Bynes Twitter feed, you know what hell looks like to make. The disjointed ramblings of a sheltered twenty-something trying to find attention and meaning. Hopefully she will find it. Out of the realms of acting. Perhaps she could volunteer, but chances are, she’ll just marry up.
