You guys remember Chris Brown? You don’t? Good. Everything is returning to normal.
He was a pop star in a world where there seems to be a pop star on every block. Where one mis-step with your hands could happen and it could be your career. When did the US turn into Japan, by the way? Where there are like, 800 pop stars, and not enough time to pay attention to any of them, so the real winners are always the record companies?
Anyway, Chris Brown was a forgettable R & B singer that hilariously, my friends tried to explain away as being super-talented. Because he sang acapella. He then promptly proved my point that he sucked by bashing his girlfriend Rhianna in the face until he was arraigned on domestic violence charges. Now he’s picking up the pieces of what was left of his career, and trying to tour Europe. But apparently, Europe has taste. They have denied him the work visas he’d require to tour in the UK and Ireland, and as a result, has canceled his entire European tour. For a while, I thought that he’d be able to get away with beating up a giant pop star and he’d be able to resuscitate his career. Thankfully, I was wrong.
