Hey, if you’ve ever wanted the authentic experience of walking down Hollywood Boulevard, and being accosted by men in costume – damn. I knew you were freaky.
And who doesn’t want that? Who doesn’t want to get involved in that tourist vibe that Hollywood puts out so you can come here and stick your hands in Natalie Wood? A lot of people, apparently.
People are scared of the people on Hollywood Boulevard. Besides probably being on meth and being allowed to wander the streets in full make-up, they are rude and borderline dangerous. Over the last few days 13 arrests and citations were issued to characters trotting out their goods in front of tourists. What spawned all this hatred towards masked characters? They’ve been yelling at tourists to give them tips, and were rude and have assaulted people. Seriously. Chewbacca headbutted a tour guide in front of groups of people.
If you’re Chewbacca and you’re rude, you’re doing a disservice to your Wookie brothers. The awesome part? Many of the people who were in costume taking pictures of tourists were already wanted on previous warrants.
Which means, the guy you used to joke about in the Spongebob outfit molesting people actually might have. Super creepy.

This is so false. The characters on Hollywood Blvd. are far from dangerous. They do not yell at tourists. They state that they “pose for tips”. Now there is not much for tourists to see down there. I know people from all over the world that loved getting a shot with their favorite super hero.

There are some VERY good characters out there, who live by the rules and are really there for the tourist, especially the Children. Some belong to the Guardian Angels and/or The Knights. They try and help the Hollywood area, keeping it safe and fun.
When the LAPD did the “sting” they did good by getting rid of ALL the “Bad” ones…but they kept going and were just arresting everyone. They arrested two film students from NY Film Academy, trying to make a film.
STOP! STOP! STOP!

Allow them to come back…BUT, assign secret patrollers, “SNITCHES” to continue to “turn in” the ones who stupidly break the rules.
If they don’t live by the rules…BUST THEM!
DON”T let the LAPD make the Laws up as they go along just to harrass the Characters.

I agree. This is BS!!! I have NEVER had a problem with the characters on the Boulevard. In fact, they’re the reason we keep (kept) coming back to Hollywood to spend our money!!!! It feels safer on the Boulevard with them there. A couple of them have actually helped me out with some very rude, “upfront” men. BRING THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
