Get excited, rap fans. Thank Me Later, the highly anticipated debut studio album from hip hop’s hottest name (at the moment, at least), has leaked to the Internet. The album’s official release won’t happen until June 15, 2010.
For legal reasons, I can’t tell you exactly where you can download Thank Me Later. I can drop a few hints, though. If you know how to download torrents, then it will be really easy. Go to literally any torrent site (I recommend Torrentz.com since it searches all the big ones for you) and you’ll find the album. If you don’t know how to download torrents, what the hell are you waiting for? Get learnin’. Seriously, though, you could try searching for something like drake+”thank me later”+mediafire (be sure to include the plus signs and quotation marks) on Google and you’ll probably find a working download link.
I’m on my first spin through the album right now and so far my reaction has been mixed. It’s good, but I’m not sure it matches the quality of Drake’s So Far Gone mixtape or other indie releases. It’s certainly not a hard, banging rap album, but that shouldn’t really come as any surprise. Drake has said in the past that we should expect him to sing a lot on his albums. I’ll need another few listens to really know for sure. If you love or hate the album, let me know in the comments below.
In celebrity gossip news, Drake has basically admitted that Thank Me Later’s opening track, a song called Fireworks that features Alicia Keys, is about his relationship with Rhianna.

wait. what? Drake and Rhianna? also: who knew Canadians could rap?
after my first spin, im am now convinced that this is a r&b album with rapping on it. lol. i was sure it would be some hard joints, like “ransom” and “going in for life”…etc… im a big fan and he lost me a bit. im waiting for the next mix tape. 3*’s
