Al Qaeda’s Number Three Killed

By Mark Lorenz on June 1st, 2010

Good news for America’s counterterrorism team. We’ve managed to kill Al Qaeda’s number three in command.

No word on whether or not the halls of the DOD offices will be overflowing with people singing, “Ding-dong, the witch is dead,” but I’d be willing to pay good money for it.

Personally, Al Qaeda, minus their core beliefs and terrorist acts, might actually be a good time. You just run off into the mountains and shoot guns and run obstacle courses. You don’t have to shave, nobody worries about any women. But then you start messing with America. And when you mess with America, you will eventually get killed, despite you having an awesome beard and a completely skewed set of moral priorities.

Al Qaeda’s number three, Mustafa Abu Yazid is dead. How do we know? Al Qaeda was courteous enough to post it up on the myriad of websites that they control. Also killed? His wife, three of his daughters, a graddaughter and others were also killed. Abu Yazid was the finance manager of Al Qaeda, and a cofounder of the group.

Experts think that Al Qaeda will main their operational tempo. Which is bad news. But if it weren’t for their ability to get technology, Al Qaeda would just be a bunch of crazy guys with beards in the mountains who have an agenda. And that, friends, is comedy.
