So, Willie Nelson got a haircut and the whole world is cooing over his new ‘do. I must have missed the memo about the importance of Willie’s locks, but I guess when an icon like good ‘ol Willie shakes things up, the world pays attention.
The 77-year-old country singer, card carrying pot head and sometimes actor apparently just got tired of wrangling his waist-length braids. “There was a lot of maintenance,” said his spokeswoman Elaine Shock.
This photo was taken in Maui, where the singer surprised his Hawaiian audience on stage at a show featuring his son, Micah Nelson’s band, the Reflectacles. Even Willie gave a nod to his new ‘do on his website, calling it “the haircut heard around the world”.
No word on whether Willie will donate his trademark braids to stop the oil spill — though the gesture would jive with his history of activism.

I'm glad to see the new hair cut, it was needed. But it cannot and never be will be able to compare to what PRESIDENT OBAMA has already done in just becoming president of the United States Of America. Not even to mention the new fist bump handshake. lol There is no comparison.

Does anybody really care that Sarah Palin got a neighbor? She's not the first person to get a new neighbor. If your so worried about your " new neighbor" maybe you should have rented the place yourself. This is the United States of America and the last time I checked we can live anywhere that we want to. If you don't like it Sarah, move to Russia. Heck, you can see it from your backdoor.

Willie's hair may be cut but the music is thriving more than ever. "The fact is Willie has two sons with their own bands. "Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real have toured extensively with Dad and have built a strong national following. The band backing Mr. Nelson at Charlie's on Maui was L.A. based America folk rock band The Reflectacles with Micah Nelson on drums."
