Bret Michaels has had a whirlwind year, with multiple trips to the hospital, a few near-death experiences and some life-altering moments.
This week, after being hospitalized last week for a warning stroke, he was named this season’s Celebrity Apprentice. Last night, he made a totally unexpected appearance on the finale of American Idol where he performed Every Rose has Its Thorn with Casey James.
Bret’s performance was, by far, the highlight of the night. With lackluster performances by other artists (which we’ll leave unnamed), Bret’s surprise appearance was an exciting moment in an otherwise boring finale.
The Poison frontman is still recovering from his recent illnesses but finds healing in his music. In Wednesday night, Michaels told the Associated Press “Seeing fans rockin’ rollin’, smiling faces … is the best medicine I can think of.”
Well, the music seems to be helping you heal, Brett, because you sounded exceptional during your performance last night.
Truly talented, Bret Michaels deserves every ounce of recognition he’s receiving this year.

Bret I wish you all the best hope everything works out for you. I've been a really big fan of you seen I was a little girl I love all of your music and everything about you.
