Dancing with the Stars Finale 2010 Means Controversy for ABC

Nicole DerekThe 2010 season of ABC’s popular hit show Dancing with the Stars came to a close last night, but not without controversy.

Nicole Scherzinger took home the title of DWTS champion 2010 – a title many believe was not deserved.

As the judges and hosts claim every season, the premise of the show is celebrity contestants with little to no dance experience being paired with a professional dance partner whose job is to whip them into shape and prove their skills on the dance floor.

Nicole was criticized from the beginning because of her prior dance experience. The Pussycat doll came into this competition in impeccable shape, she’s been trained to learn choreography fast and she’s definitely not afraid of the stage – or performing in front of large groups of people – all things the other contestants this year had to overcome.

Viewers are furious that Nicole won. Realistically, who would be able to beat someone who dances for a living?

Choosing Nicole Scherzinger to compete made this season predictable and boring. If anyone thought that Kate Gosselin, Niecy Nash or any of the other contestants could take home the title of DWTS champion, they’d be delusional.

Who are they going to have on the show next year? Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez?

Do you think it was fair that Nicole won last night – or was even cast this season in the first place?

Check out Nicole in this video for “Buttons” and let us know if you had she too much dance experience (you might want to fast forward to the 2:57 mark):

nicole should not have won....people with no experience should be the only contestants on "dancing with the stars"

... and what person in their right mind would want to watch Kate Gosselin or Niecy Nash dance when they could be watching someone who is actually talented, fit, attractive and charismatic - like Nicole Scherzinger instead?
