FDA Looking To Approve Viagra For Women

By Mark Lorenz on May 25th, 2010

Guess what ladies? You’ve been complaining about Viagra reviving the flagging male libido at times in people’s life when they need it the least. And now we have a female equivalent.

Oh, Viagra. The boner-pill that everyone loves to laugh at. The mainstay in a Jay Leno routine since it was invented oh-so-many years ago. Now there will be an equivalent to make sure that no matter how old either gender gets, they will still be having mind-bending sex assisted by copious use of pharmaceuticals.

So there is no cure for cancer, no cure for AID’s, people in third world countries are dying left and right, but guess what? We’ll still be having sex. It’s like the constant that’ll tie us together. A drug that was developed for depression, flibanserin, didn’t actually cure depression, and instead it made the women who took it during the trial period incredibly horny. Like, clawing at the walls.  So despite being the most unsexily named drug in history, the FDA is debating whether or not to approve it – if women’s dried sandy beaches, need a tidal wave to get them going, emotionally.

I say yes. Let all ages have sex. We might not be able to stay young forever, but we can have sex for as long.

Viagra® (sildenafil citrate) is a medication that has been licensed to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is defined as a total inability to achieve erection, an inconsistent ability to do so, or a tendency to sustain only brief erections. Essentially, erectile dysfunction is the repeated inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.
