Good news for all of you who sit on the internet, slowly expanding outward. Women still find you sexy. Women still want you. You can still attract women. According to the Times of India.
Which is obvious. The whole plot of the movie She’s Out Of My League is that a hot girl gets with a not-hot guy. Have you looked outside, writers of said movie? Non-hot guys are always winding up with smoking hot girls. It’s a law of nature. And apparently, non-hot guys can still sell product.
There’s a current media debate raging as to whether or not we need super-hot, ridiculously skinny members of both sexes to push product. And the answer, overwhelmingly from surveys, has been no. People will buy product if you advertise the product, you don’t need sexpots to sell them. But that would put a lot of sexpots out of work, and who would we put in cologne ads then? NORMAL people?
Unlikely.
Australian researchers examined viewers’ responses to different male body types in advertisements and found that average-sized people were rated just as highly as people with rippling, sinewy muscles. The study backs up the fact that women of all sizes were just as likely to motivate people to buy things than super-twigs.
Basically, we don’t care who is selling us product, as long as they don’t have tendrils and a flipper.
