Awkward Family Photos.com creators Doug Chernak and Mike Bender are about to laugh and laugh all the way to the bank as their new coffee table book Awkward Family Photos debuts at no. 3 on the New York Times best-seller list.

Yes, the site with the tag line “strange, humorous and disturbing family portraits” is going to become an actual book you can display on your coffee table. A book full of plaid-clad families, crying babies, mullets and questionable style choices — that you are not related to.

Bender told the Today show that the popularity of their website made putting out a book a no-brainer. “People send pictures to our website, and that’s where we got the photos we put in the book.”

“We keep getting more and more photos, and because of the book, we’re getting a ton of photos,” Bender said. “We’re having so much fun doing it.”
