Bristol Palin Will Be Paid 30,000 Per Speaking Engagement

By Mark Lorenz on May 18th, 2010

Remember when Sarah Palin said that her children were off-limits to the media, because she was a mama lion who wanted to hunt gazelles, or something to that effect? Yeah. Screw that.

Bristol Palin is the world’s favored white-trash offspring, famous for having a baby that was spun into political hoo-rah, a marriage that failed, and an ex that wound up posing for Playboy. Basically, if this were the 1950’s, nobody would care about her. But because politics is a ballyhooed media engagement now, she’s signed a contract that’ll allow her to garner more than 30,000 dollars per speaking arrangement. Per speaking arrangement. She’s getting paid 30,000 per speaking arrangement. At a company called Single Source Speakers. The only higher-paid name on their roster?

Drew Brees, NFL Quarterback, and Superbowl MVP.

So Drew Brees has been spending his entire life trying not to have men take his legs out from under him. Because Bristol Palin let someone twist hers over her head and put a baby inside her, she has a career talking about abstinence.

It’d be comical, if it weren’t tragic that so many other people are struggling to find work. And because she’s had her picture in a few papers, she’s now totally qualified to talk about a subject that she didn’t practice and has statistically proven to be completely ineffective.

I can’t wait to see which organizations are poorly-managed enough to actually book her.

Love the site, but this article is a big fail. Stick with the facts: - Bristol is not a child. She is 20 years old. - Bristol did not have a failed marriage, more like a failed engagement. - You have no idea if her legs went up or not, but at the very least, she didn't go out and kill the kid like oh, say almost every actress in Hollywood. - The reason people pay attention, if they do, is because her mother was a VP candidate and is outspoken (whether or not you like what she says) Time to find another topic kids. Looking into say Obama's 2004 affair? Or why his wife wants to tell us what we can eat? Or how about those who are in power looking to control in the internet. Stick to girly picks and stop trying to matter. Thanks.
