Robots Are Marrying Couples Now

By Mark Lorenz on May 17th, 2010

Not only are they slowly and cautiously planning the uprising that’ll kill all of us, robots have recently taken on a new hobby: marrying couples.

Robots are apparently more tolerant than the US government. I bet if you put two gay people in front of a robot that was capable of marrying them, it would still kill them indiscriminately. Because that’s what robots do, you see – they kill indiscriminately. But robots are becoming more and more a part of culture, as Japan has trotted out fashion robots, robots who sing, and now robots who marry people. It’s like they’re building up an army of robots who will prove incredibly useful when celebrities lose their mind.

Anyway, the bride — Sakoto Inoue – who works for the company that manufactures the robot named – wait for it – the iFairy, had the robot marry her. To one of her clients. Never mind that this is obviously a heavily-workplace influenced romance, they had a robot marry them. I think congratulations are due to the couple’s relatives, who allowed their special snowflakes get married by a contraption that will clearly vaporize their bones in a number of years.

Watch the video. It’s creepy. And amazing. Like a lot of things that Japan produces. And the robot sounds like a gay Apple product, which I could always get behind.

That sounds wrong.
