Especially Beyonce. Beyonce likes to pretend that she puts in most of the work writing her songs, when usually has a team of at least 12-14 songwriters on every album. And then she mentions in interviews how she’s happy to write inspirational song for women (Bootylicious) that she didn’t really write. Or she takes tracks from lesser, struggling artists, because the music industry is a shady, shady place. Or she changes a few words around and gets a production credit on a song. Such as Ego, a song written by Chrisette Michele for her solo album. She gave the song to Beyonce, and true to form, she changed a few words around and gave herself the credit, blocking Chrisette out.
Also, during a video interview last week, ex-Destiny’s Child producer Rico Love talked about writing songs for Beyonce, including Radio and Scared of Lonely. Neither of which Beyonce helped with. Both of which she got a credit for.

Beyonce steals other peoples’ music and then tries to say that she wrote the song. She lied about writing the song “Cater to U”, which was written by a Chicago-based singer named Rickey Allen. In court papers filed in 2006, Allen accused the group of stealing his song, down to the title and spelling. They just settled the lawsuit last month, instead of going to Chicago Federal Court. Had the suit gone to trial, all three singers would have been required to appear in court for eight days. Aw shucks….it would have been a Destiney’s Child reunion…LOL! BeYAWNce even lied about writing Irreplaceable, which turned out to have been written by the talented Ne-Yo.

Mmm.. but to be honest, you might aswell get professional songwriters to write you a hit record. She does have some imput, in the vocal arrangements, and has written lyrics on a lot of her and destiny's child songs.Like the above comment, she can take a mediocre song and give it that beyonce magic, and turn it into a hit. She's a very talented lady, and is more of an entertainer than a musician. But her vocal arrangements and harmonys and runs are beautiful.

^^^And this blog is not exposing her now. It's just jumping on the bandwagon, a misguided one at that. Bey's true lane is arrangements. She even spoke on it: I did a lot of things differently this time with my album(IASF). A lot of it was [recorded] live, less production with the vocals, I didn't do as many arrangements... that was with the I Am side. Then with the Sasha Fierce side, I tried to do things that were, sonically, a little more modern and a little more electronic. A little bit. But still mixed in with my drum loops. That's her lane, people. Most of fans knows she is not a big lyric writer. Not these days. Even Kelly when talking about Independent Woman talked about how great her arrangments are, and not her lyric writing. It's sad how predictable these blogs have become and how many of you follow like sheep.
