Michael C. Hall Has Murdered Cancer Dead

Good news for fans of Dexter: Michael C. Hall has murdered his cancer. He’s murdered it dead.

Dexter – if you haven’t taken time off your busy schedule not watching awesome television shows – is Showtime’s highest rated series, about a serial killer who tracks down and kills serial killers and other dregs of society. It’s a brilliant concept for a show – where you’re investing and following someone who would ordinarily be looked on as the worst type of human and an impossible subject for a television show.

But Dexter has proved to be a hit for Showtime, with compelling writing, layered storylines, a unique setting, and an incredible lead to tie it together – MCH. He’s the new NPH. Only more murdery. Fans of the series were shocked last year when Hall announced that he had Hodgkins lymphoma, and he had to don a skull cap to wear to the Golden Globes ceremony where he won. Fortunately, according to his wife and co-star Jennifer Carpenter, his treatments are finished, he’s fully recovered and he’s returning to work on Dexter’s fifth season.

Which is great news. Michael C. Hall is pretty much one of television’s royalty, with starring roles on Six Feet Under and Dexter. Projects he attaches himself to rarely crash and burn.

Dexter’s new season will premiere in September.
