You must still your beating vampire/werewolf hearts and journey forth through the dark abyss of your teen angst to watch this trailer for Eclipse. Or you must be a fan of really terrible CGI.
They’re pushing these movies out at a rate that would rival Kate Gosselin’s vagina. Seriously. One every year? They needed to strike before their teen fan-base grew even more angsty and rejected the concept of vampires altogether in favor of things like office jobs and collegiate degrees.
For those of you unfamiliar with the franchise — I envy your life and livelihood – Twilight is a million-selling book series turned into box-office breaking movie series with broody teenagers who bite their lips far to often and wear sparkly pancake make-up. Eclipse is the third in the four-book series, the book where the most action actually happens. In it, there’s a war between the vampires and werewolves – and it looks like the movie will stay true to that, only draw in another faction ready to do battle: H&M models and Dakota Fanning. Dakota Fanning is the H&M model’s mortal enemy.
The first two movies were smash hits at the worldwide box office, and it looks like this one will follow in their footsteps. Which begs the question: how can you kill a box office franchise when IT’S ALREADY DEAD?!
