Who says we’re moving fast as a culture? I dunno, when a movie that just came out can be rereleased less than a YEAR after it first appeared on the scene, and half a year after it appears on DVD, I think it’s a safe thing to assume.
Avatar is the biggest movie of all time – at least, when you don’t adjust for inflation, and factor in IMAX ticket prices costing more than any other tickets in history, save Broadway. So understandably, there’s been a huge studio push for the film, complete with cross-marketing efforts bleeding into shows like Bones, DVD promotions at the Grove, and now a rerelease in theaters coming in August. So if you’ve been clawing at your eyes, trying to get back on the planet Pandora, you’ll now be able to without the cost of an optometrist visit.
James Cameron is upset that Alice In Wonderland screwed him out of more cash, even though he has enough to blast himself into space and build his teeth a grill from unobtanium.
We were sold out of our Imax performances right up to the moment until they were contractually obligated to switch to “Alice in Wonderland,” so we know we left money on the table there.
Yeah, Jimmy. Get your money. Six additional minutes will be put into the rereleased film. Here’s hoping they’re all giant smurf sex scenes.

I will be there first in line with cash in hand. I didn't get to see Avatar until it was released on blu-ray. Best movie I have ever seen, period. I cannot wait for the extra scenes and James Cameron is god to me after seeing his movie. I PRAY that this works out and that James Cameron makes another 2 billion on second release.
