Tina Fey Rocked SNL

By Mark Lorenz on April 11th, 2010

If there’s one thing that’s reliable in this world, it’s that Tina Fey knows comedy. Tina Fey will continue to know comedy continuing onwards in her life, until Tina Fey breathes no more. And she brought her specialized knowledge to Saturday Night Live.

Tina Fey is one of the better writers/comedic minds/actresses that we have these days. Saturday Night Live is a cesspool where comic talent goes to die. But fortunately, at one point Tina Fey and her brain made Saturday Night Live a better place, so she comes back occasionally to reprise her roles and  improve the shows atmosphere. Which she did last night. Fey came back to skew Michelle McGee and do her balls-to-the-wall imitation of Sarah Palin. And there were balls, on the wall.

But Saturday Night Live needs to legitimately start hiring better talent, though. Half of this cast is completely dispensable and the ones who aren’t are Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig. I don’t think a single member of the cast would be able to go off, start their own television show, and remain successfully in the public eye like Fey’s managed to maintain.

Then again, what do I know? I’m a keyboard jockey. Enjoy the sketch.
