You Can Buy Captain Picard’s Chair

By Mark Lorenz on April 9th, 2010

I don’t mean the one that you’ve seen him rolling, and you were all hating on from X-Men. I mean the real deal. The Captain’s chair he sat in for many many years on a sound-stage somewhere in California. What? Not really? Then what’s the point?

Everybody loves Star Trek memorabilia, that’s the point. Especially if you’re one of the people who classify themselves as a Trekkie, of which there are millions globally. Where can you get hot Star Trek merchandise at? The same place you can get anything else that’s ridiculous and lights up. Las Vegas, baby. They tried to build a giant attraction based off of the franchise, of which I remember reading about when I was younger, but unfortunately, popular interest waned and now they’re selling off more than 1,000 items pertaining to or directly related to Star Trek. Including Picard’s Captain’s chair.

Now, personally, I would buy this Captain’s chair. I would put it in a well lit place, and swivel every time someone opened a door around me. I would drink tea, furrow my eyebrows, then buy every piece of merchandise that Deanna Troi touched, brushed against, or admired herself near. That’s just how I roll, Trekkies.

You should too.

And I know that’s TOS.
