Apparition’s “The Square,” opens in New York and Los Angeles this weekend, and brings to the screen some wonderful execution by a cast and crew of budding Australian talent.

Film noir and full of twists, The Square focuses on an adulterous relationship that leads to a tangled web of deceit, arson and murder. The film is the feature film, directorial debut of accomplished Australian stuntman, and stunt coordinator, Nash Edgerton. The Square stars, and was co-written by his brother, Joel Edgerton, who recently starred opposite Cate Blanchett in the high-profile Sydney production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

Regardless of securing financing from the Australian Film Finance Corporation, The Square possesses a true, independent spirit. The theatrical distribution of The Square, also includes a screening of Edgerton’s short film, Spider.

After debuting in NY and LA, the small theatrical run will move to other cities in the United States beginning in May.
