You’ve been waiting for this moment since you were four, admit it.
One of the perks of being an iPhone owner – in addition to being branded a hipster — is that you get to choose from a ridiculous array of apps in the application store. Most of those apps are completely useless, but fun. Not all of them can tap into your childhood. But now you can enjoy having lightsaber fights between your dropped calls. Like some of us do already, but without the hassle of leaving toy lightsabers lying around your house for your roommates to trip on.
The first lightsaber app came out as a promotional tool for a game called The Force Unleashed, and quickly became one of the most downloaded apps on the iPhone. Also, the best to break out when you’re drunk at a party. That, and the I Am T-Pain app. But if you’re at a party, and people are just hitting each other and singing into their iPhones, you should probably search for greener pastures. Or stop partying in Palo Alto.
Unfortunately, the original lightsaber app didn’t allow you to fight with other iPhone users. The new app fixes that, pairing with other lightsaber aficionados.
So prepare for parties of people in ironic hats, fighting with their iPhones.
