Everybody loved John Paul. People loved Pope John Paul more than people love John Paul Jones. And people love John Paul Jones. But this new guy? This new pope is evil. He looks evil, he acts evil. He even smells evil.
And he’s being eviscerated in the press for not acting based on information that children were being abused. Specifically, a school for the deaf in Wisconsin where over 200 boys were molested by the priest. So often, in fact, they handed out pamphlets warning other boys about the impending molesting they’d probably be victim to. And Pope Ratzinger was a Cardinal then, responsible for making sure the scandal was handled appropriately. What’d he do? Absolutely nothing.
So he’s being criticized, rightfully so. And is turning a blaming finger towards the Western media, and the New York Times saying that – all right, Sarah Palin in a giant hat. You can stop pointing fingers. We know the media is comprised of people looking for sensationalist angles, but you look like you’re evil incarnate. You look like Emperor Palpatine, and apparently couldn’t adjudicate to help the well-being of children.
That’s not the media’s fault. That’s your own fault. Now go someplace dark and crazy and make some Catholic edict where dancing is banned.
