Miley Cyrus Is Going To Mentor American Idols

This makes sense. Now American Idols, take advice from someone who wouldn’t make it past the first round.

In this fickle world of fame, we need someone to give us a guiding hand. Nobody makes it on their own, and if there’s one world where people realize that, it’s the world of American Idol. Which is why they’re bringing in celebrity mentors to help the contestants. But they’re not the sort of mentors that you’d expect.

They’re mentors like Miley Cyrus.

People have been hemming and hawing at how this threatens to destroy the sanctity of American Idol, one of the most sacrosanct shows on television, but it’d be prudent to point out that it’s American Idol. Where 90% of the contestants who win disappear immediately. Where the only two real stars to emerge from it are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. It’d be nearly impossible for Miley Cyrus to come in and make the show any worse than it is currently. She’d have to do things like set fire to the set, or accidentally shoot someone with a revolver, and that’d make American Idol 10x as entertaining, so that will never happen.

It’ll be hilarious to see the reaction of some of the contestants to getting help from a teen star. I’m sure a few of them will receive coaching from Miley, and then the camera will promptly cut to them slamming their hands in a car door.
