Brad Paisley fell hard–while singing “Alcohol.” Seriously.
Brad Paisley may be tough, but on Saturday night, the floor was tougher.
He was simply doing a little hard-core, country-guitar wailing, zipped up one side of an on-stage ramp, and as he hit the peak to come down the other–well, there is now another crystal-clear reason not to run in cowboy boots. On any variety of sports fields, his teammates would have said he was “sniped,” and no doubt, YouTube will be full of modified versions of the video possessing the sound of gun shots within hours, if they’re not already available.
The fall was bad. Not only was it bad, but he came down on his guitar: definitive insult to injury. As you can clearly see in the video, Paisely struggles to his feet like a prize fighter, dazed and confused, to thank everyone before exiting the stage. That’s when things got a little more interesting.
He was taken to the hospital via ambulance, underwent several x-rays, and a CT scan to determine that nothing was too serious, and that he had just taken a bad beating from himself and an unfriendly floor. He has been a good sport about it, and asked fans, via twitter, to post their videos online. It’s uncertain whether or not he’s looking for a laugh, or wants to study it like game-tape to avoid a similar fall in the future.
