It’s a victory for Betty White fans, a victory for comedy fans everywhere, and in general, victory!! Betty White will be making an appearance on Saturday Night Live.
Betty White is a notable comedienne, national television treasure and, at one time, a pin-up model. Seriously. You can find packs of old scandalous cards with Betty White topless, which I’d encourage everyone to get online and find, because Betty White is hot. White has also been frequently in the news, had Robert Pattinson extolling her virtues and a Facebook campaign to get her on Saturday Night Live, finally. Unfortunately, she’ll only be making an appearance on Saturday Night Live. She won’t be hosting it.
Which begs the question, why don’t they have Betty White host Saturday Night Live? Who do they have actually hosting, Taylor Lautner?? How long is he going to last, maybe five years?? Not trucking away at around eighty, like Betty White.
So to the people running the “Get Betty White To Host SNL” Facebook group, don’t stop demanding things of the SNL staff. It’s about time somebody held them accountable for quality and booking better hosts. If it has to be the interwebs, I’m entirely supportive of it.
