  1. I love Mad Men because it is so complicated. There are no flat, 2-D characters. Everyone is fully fleshed out with desires, ghosts, doubts and joys, like real people.

  2. I live mad men!
AS a guy, it makes me long for the good old days…

  3. I’m fascinated with that entire time-period. The emotional suppression, the sexual revolution and role of women, the emergence of ad moguls. This show not only has amazing production/art design, but there’s a sheer rawness you feel. You get to be voyeuristic – willing the characters to make certain decisions, then feeling their pain and agonizing with them when they ultimately f* up.

  4. Thanks for the chance to win.

  5. I love Ad Men because it gives an accurate look at the way advertising once was. It shows the glory days – The days of David Ogilvy and Turner. When advertising was more of an art than a quick joke about a baby falling. Its when advertising was real – When the ultimately goal was always linked to persuasion. Whether or not you choose me as the winner or not doesn’t matter…You see, I’m not trying to sell you Jesus. This is either in your heart…or it isn’t.

  9. Tracey Byram says:

I like the show because it has interesting storylines and characters.

  10. Mad Men is up there with the best shows of all time, including Six Feet Under.

The writing is amazing, the storylines are complex and somehow relatable at the same time. The characters are likable, even when they’re doing terrible things. The time period is just different enough from today to create another world, yet not all that long ago that we can’t see similarities.

    I just love Mad Men!

  31. As a writer, I believe Mad Men is quite simply the best written show on television. I love how it depicts the bleak nature of human beings, complete with all their flaws and struggles. Matthew Weiner is brilliant!
