Happy Wednesday! This week at Manolith we’re giving away three DVDs of the latest film from the director of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre. Gentlemen Broncos, available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD March 2, is another quirk-filled vision of reality from Jared Hess. In the film, Michael Angarano plays Benjamin Purvis, an awkward teenager and aspiring writer who is homeschooled by his oddball mother. After Benjamin attends a fantasy convention, his story idea is stolen by big-time fantasy novelist Ronald Chevalier (played by Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords), who is in desperate need of new material. The film takes an extra-goofy turn when a local film director (played by Hector Jiminez), decides to adapt the story into a super low budget film.

Napoleon Dynamite was terrible. I would watch this flick just to see if the director finally found some talent, but would never pay to see it, even red box prices. Guess the only way is if you give it to me.

I have to confess to not liking Napoleon Dynamite very much but my fave scene in Nacho Libre was any of the wrestling scenes where Jack Black was so over the top.
