Austin Plane Crash: FBI Investigates

Is anyone else tired of planes crashing into buildings – accidental or otherwise? Especially otherwise?

It looks as if today’s Austin plane crash will slide into the category of planned and executed. The FBI has stated the the pilot, Joseph Andrew Stack, may have started his morning by burning down his house, before proceeding to a local air field to commandeer a plane and fly it into Austin’s Echelon Building. At present, the FBI is reporting the IRS as the potential intended target.

NORAD scrambled two F-16 fighters at the point of departure, when the FAA failed to receive the mandatory flight plan from the unknown pilot. Clearly, the damage was done by the time the military jets arrived from Houston, but NORAD continued to conduct an air patrol near the crash site.

One person has been listed as missing from the scene, while two others were taken to the hospital for additional treatment and evaluation.

No word on whether this is official, but apparently this is a site belonging to the pilot – serving as a journal-entry-type suicide note of sorts. If it’s a valid source, you might want to copy and paste what you find, because it may not stay live for long. The most frightening thing about his rhetoric is how charismatic he comes across in his call for similar action. Ugh.

While the stereotypical jihadist offer enough to shake your head at, there’s nothing worse than a domestic revolution led by terrorists who just need a freakin’ vacation.

To say his actions could have been averted by a simple "vacation" is absurd.

    It's a satirical statement.

The pilot is the owner of the plane - so he didn't "comandeer" it. And flight plans are NOT required

"...domestic revolution led by terrorists..."? That's it, label anyone who believes so strongly in something they'd die for it a 'terrorist'. A revolution against taxes brought about our country's independence, but we call those who gave their lives for America's freedom(s) 'patriots'.

Anyone who would lead their revolution by killing people going to work...yeah, i'd call them a terrorist. Doesn't mean I don't sympathize with the guy. It's tragic. But by definition. It's an act of terror. And I don't recall Thomas Jefferson ever riding a horse into a local pub to trample anyone with opposing viewpoints.
