I don’t have any statistics in front of me for this one, but I bet you there are thousands of men around the United States who are leading double lives right now. You know, married with children, only to go off on weekend “hunting trips” to secretly meet with their gay lovers. They’re hard to spot sometimes, but every once in a while one says something stupid and outs themselves.
Enter Robert Pattinson.
The pasty-face star of the Twilight Saga movies, who plays brooding emo-vampire Edward Cullen, has admitted that he hates vaginas, but really, really, loves his dog. In a recent interview with Details, the 23-year-old actor candidly spoke about the relationship he has with his mutt, admitting that “there might be something wrong with my emotional sight. The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog. My relationship with my dog, it’s ridiculous.”
If I was Jim Carey, I’d be going “reeeaaallly” right about now.
Pattinson went on to talk about the photo shoot he did for the magazine, where he was positioned between the legs of a hot model for the entire day. He said it made him, “a bit antsy,” and then he dropped this little bomb:
“I really hate vaginas,” he said. “I’m allergic to vagina.”
Sorry ladies, I hate to burst your bubble, but it looks like Edward won’t be visiting your cookie, muffin, ki-ki, or whatever the hell else you women call it, anytime soon. While he may be an okay actor (and I’m being very, very generous here), it looks like he’s happy with his dog for the time being, and steering clear of vaginas. Your vagina included.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Okay, there is, but who am I to judge?

Its lik every male successful actor is gay. regardless if that comment was never made. what hes trying to say is he has a non-existant sex life. he never said he preferd dick over vag. but guys who are jealous of his success are gonna jump all over this like nuts. too bad for them mr.pattinson made that comment because he just doesnt give a shit. johnny depp dont seem much different cus that sloppy mess is not only elergic to vag hes allergic to everyone and their bar of soap.

He is GAY! What strait guy would ever say such a thing? I think it was pretty stupid of him to say that...does he not care about his career? Apparently not. He sounds like a self-loather, and completely self-destructive. I hope he comes out of this one day and straitens up his act! Still think he's the most gorgeous person on the face of the planet....

"What strait guy would ever say such a thing?" a straight guy who's been scorned by a woman. if calling this duder gay makes you feel so much better about yourselves just remember whos the center of attention in all this and making the most money while at it.

Guess what all men get allergic to vaginas once in a while. They get swollen below the belt when they see one. It looks like the dude was just quoting an old joke. I checked Details site and found out that the guy was talking about vaginas when he had to do 12 hours shoot with naked models. I bet he was fighting off a hard on all that time. Anyhow, I don't care if he is gay but I just don't think he is. Time will tell.

I have come to the conclusion that I do not like Robert Pattinson, although I am in love with Edward Cullen.

You people are in the dark. I would buy the "joke" of swelling up if all he said was he was allergic. But he said he HATES vagina's before that. You can't twist that. When you HATE something, and are allergic to it, you have a negative response to it, you don't want to be around it. I love how everyone is trying to twist this all around....haha...dumb!

Who are you to judge? You're JAMES MELZER, WRITER FOR MANOLITH. All you do is judge. And there's nothing wrong with that.

If it were me there interviewing him, I would have asked Pattinson to clarify: “What do you mean you hate vaginas? You don’t like the way the feel? The way they look? They scare you?” Or I might say, “I know just what you mean! And penises can be really weird too– veiny and hairy. Frankly, I don’t think genitals should be seen in daylight at all. Twelve hours under bright lights is way too long to be around so many vaginas!” On the cover of the magazine, Pattinson’s face is shown inbetween a woman’s legs, facing out, half smiling at the camera. His eyes tell his audience, “This is exactly where I belong, and as soon as you stop looking at me, I’m going to turn around and preform the best cunnilingus this woman has ever had.” Maybe the young star felt vulnerable, and he was trying to backtrack, get some control. Or maybe he really does hate vaginas. Does that mean he’s gay? I would’ve asked. (More commentary on my blog ReelGirl http://bit.ly/aMMAHY)

He's gay...get over it. He could come out and tell the world "I'm gay" and you all would say "he's joking". Get a life people...most of the actors in Hollywood are gay, and Rob is one of them. So, good for him....he's still very HOT!

People say everybody's gay nowadays. So it doesn't have any real meaning. I don't believe for a second that he's gay. I read from people on the set of Twilight how hot he was for Kristen Stewart during filming. Even if he was gay, SO WHAT! I wouldn't want my face around men's crotches for 12 hrs straight.

Perhaps Jenny Lumet assumed that people were aware of this VERY OLD joke and it didn't need clarifying. Apparently she was wrong. Apparently people need EVERYTHING spelled out for them. Why would a gay actor out himself like this and shoot his brand new leading man career in the foot AND why would Summit allow this comment to be made public if they knew their Edward Cullen was being played by a closeted gay man and the 'truth' could hurt their billion dollar franchise? Think you about it you idiots. THINK!!!

Should not have said idiots. That wasn't nice, but for crying out loud people. These interviews are checked before publication. If Pattinson was trying to hide homosexuality, wouldn't he have caught that and said, I don't want that printed. And Jenny Lumet (who did the interview) is a friend of his. She wouldn't be out to hurt him or his career or do a "gotcha" on him. She's co-wrote the screenplay of his new film and I promise you, she would like to see that do well and not get lost in the "noise" of some drummed up controversary. It would just be nice if people knew just a little bit of what they were talking about before spouting off about other people's lives. But no, you read an inflammatory word, form an uninformed and opinion and you're off splashing that opinion all over the world and maligning another person's reputation. How would you like it if it were being done against you?

food for thought... Rob has a very sarcastic sense of humour. We all know this. Is it possible that he was referring to the reaction of an allergy? What happens when you have an allergy....? Well, you swell up, of course. What we don't know is in what cintext that comment was made. Anyway people will always read into things and place judgement. Very unfortunate.

He might be referencing the aforementioned "swelling up" joke, he might be gay, or he could just be trying to be funny in general. I don't know. This was fairly recent. Perhaps he will clarify.

Yeah, I would need to see a video of this conversation before I made any final conclusions.
