Alec Baldwin–at it again. Another “misunderstanding.”
The “30 Rock” star was rushed to a local New York City hospital just after midnight in an “unresponsive” state. Whether unresponsive means “pissed-off and not having it,” or “unconscious,” we’ll more than likely never know. The incident followed an argument with his 15-year-old daughter, Ireland, who claims Baldwin threatened to take pills. She immediately dialed 911.
After being admitted to Lenox Hill Hospital, Baldwin was released in less than an hour. His spokesperson issued a statement that it was all due to a “misunderstanding on one person’s part…he’s completely fine and will be at work today.”
I wonder if the misunderstanding was similar to him calling Ireland a “rude, thoughtless little pig,” via voice mail two years ago? Baldwin openly admitted that he contemplated suicide after the voice mail leaked to the press, but after pursuing some professional counsel, he felt his suicide would allow his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, to claim victory. Seriously.
Hell hath no fury, does it, Alec? There doesn’t seem to be a problem in this man’s life that doesn’t stem from Basinger. Their nasty of the nasties public divorce and the subsequent battle for the upper hand has since been staged on the battle field known as their daughter. Such a sad situation. But, hey, I’m sure he’ll be hilarious while co-hosting the Oscars with Steve Martin.
