Timeless. Croaky. Legend. These are some of the words that could be used to describe Bob Dylan and his music. Add to that list: subject of Nick Jonas’ ridicule.
Never mind the fact that in about a year, nobody will care about the Jonas Brothers, as the fever is already dying down. Never mind the fact that they’re going to try to go solo, and they’ll probably bomb miserably. Never mind the fact that musically, they’re less talented than the band they’re a carbon-copy of, Hanson. Nick Jonas thinks he’s going to be around. Nick Jonas thinks he’s going to be around for a long time. So long that he can jokingly trash Bob Dylan on national TV.
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Jonas talked about the recording of the recent hot mess, “We Are The World,” where Lil’ Wayne was given Bob Dylan’s part. That sentence in of itself, is a ridiculous thing to behold. Lil’ Wayne refused because he can’t sing, and Jonas made a joke that didn’t really go over well in the audience.
Granted, Bob Dylan can’t really sing, so it’s not worth getting too huffy about. But it’s still cute that Nick Jonas thinks that he’ll have a career where in the next five years he’ll be collecting royalties on ANYTHING. Enjoy the clip.
