Your virginity is a sacred thing. Something you hold close to your heart and give to that special someone, or that person who meets you just at the right time.
Or for the low, low price of a few thousand dollars, so you can pay off your college tuition.
Yes, someone who is much smarter than I am decided that their virginity is saleable. I don’t know if I would’ve opted to have my virginity bought off of me. Maybe if I were in more high demand, like that actor who played Harry Potter, I could’ve auctioned myself on the internet, but unfortunately, I am not. The subject in question was a New Zealand student who was 19 years old, and trying to pay off her college tuition. Ah, Jesus. I’m not even mad at her. Where do we draw the line? If only I had known that was a reasonable way to pay off college tuition costs, I could’ve had a harem of virgins to sell to rich businessmen with a creepy fetish. I could’ve been somebody, I could’ve been a virgin contender. People are up in arms over it, but you know what?
This girl knew what she was doing. The social repercussions of being known as the girl who sold her virginity will impact her more than the actual act. What? She did it anonymously?
Curse you, intelligent college student with a lax attitude for society’s mores.

Society's mores? Do you exclude New Zealand from society? Society in New Zealand is doing just fine without laws against "consensual crimes" (in other words: if two consenting adults choose an activity which hurts no one's person or property, as in prostitution, then who is the victim? Who is the perpetrator? While you're sussing that out, consider drugs use: there is no law against drinking seawater in the USA or New Zealand, but there are laws against taking many drugs in the USA and in fact just possessing certain precursors, chemicals used to make drugs is "no no" in your civilized society - which imprisons 25% of the worlds incarcerated individuals. A country that treats its citizens bodies and states of mind like property has a name: a monarchy. But you Yanks threw off the Brits and King George... What happened?
